Message From Our President
Welcome to
the North Carolina Probation/Parole Association website. This is
the second year that we have had this site under its current
format and from the feedback we have received it is doing great.
Our goal is to provide members and prospective members with
enough information that will encourage and inspire you to join
our Association and take an active role in your future in the
Criminal Justice System. We hope the site continues to provide
you with information about who we are, what we do and how you
can get involved. Check out your local news to find out about
upcoming meetings, activities, training and Spring Workshops you
can attend. Our Legislative Agenda will be a focus in the year
2008 and we will continue to educate at all levels about who and
what Community Corrections and our partners accomplish for our
State. It is vital that we hear from and be a voice for the
members of the Association as well as our partners in the
Criminal Justice System to include, TASC, CJPP, and other
community resources, as we work toward a proficient Community
Corrections System. We are excited about the upcoming 2008
Training Institute to be held October 29-31 at the Sheraton
Atlantic Beach in Atlantic Beach NC. We look forward to seeing
you there and remember membership involvement is the key to our
success as an Association. If there are any questions or
concerns, please direct them to me at trd01@doc.state.nc.us.
